  • Hi, I am the mother of a 2 year old with failure to thrive. They suspect celiac or other diseases. I found he has this gene mutation and I believe I have it as well. I am totally new to this site and wish I had a docter to walk me through it and tell me which mutations are dangerous, but I am on a limited budget and have no idea what they would charge for advice... Any help appreciated.

Hi. There is a Facebook group called recovering kids.com biomedical healing. There is a wealth of knowledge there. Many of our kids have this mutation and suffer from autism, celiac, developmental delays, etc

I absolutely recommend dr stewart in Austin. I also have hetero mthfr 1298 and 677, which are 2 of the main culprits, but there are many others to consider as well. Dr stewart is really above all others and has already begun helping my whole family in just the past 3 months. If you have insurance most will be covered except for the supplements.

In addition to Dr. Lynch and Dr. Kendal, check out Dr. D'Adamo's book "Eat Right For Your Type." I've had cancer twice, and it wasn't until I started eating according to my blood type that I experienced real health.

I'd recommend a few supplements, check out Dr. Kendal Stewart MD. Neuro-Immune Stabilizer (red cream) I have a retail supplement shop in Alabama and work in a wellness pharmacy in Austin Tx area. And have seen amazing improvements with just a few things. Also, I recommend another cream company, Syngenic Magnesium Cream plus herbs, B5, B-6,
Then add multi strain probiotic, powder colostrum and MCT oil in small amounts throughout the day. www.herbshopal.com

      Hi:
I would say that you should start with Dr Ben Lynch who is the MTHFR guru.....google him.
Also Dr Amy Yasko who has premier research on Methylation and children (her focus is mostly autism but there are others she has helped greatly) Hope this helps.....Peruse their websites...they are both genius.
